Response Nexus Group was born from a profound desire to transform tragedy into triumph, adversity into strength, and vulnerability into empowerment. Our journey began in 2022 with our founder, a seasoned law enforcement detective and SWAT team member, who found himself responding to an active shooter event. Witnessing firsthand the chaos, fear, and unpreparedness that unfolded, he recognized an urgent need for better solutions to confront such threats. This pivotal moment ignited a passionate mission: to equip individuals and organizations with the skills and knowledge to respond effectively to active threats.
Drawing from years of experience in law enforcement, combat and non-combat deployments as a Marine infantryman, and specialized training, he embarked on a path to create Response Nexus Group. Joined by a team of experts, including law enforcement professionals, military veterans, and crisis negotiators, our organization came into being.

Founder, Lead Instructor
Meet Mike Godjikian, the driving force behind Response Nexus Group. With a steadfast commitment to safety and a wealth of experience in law enforcement and tactical operations, Mike is a true authority in threat assessment, active threat response, and emergency preparedness with over 15 years of experience.
Distinguished Law Enforcement Career:
Mike's journey in law enforcement as a Detective and SWAT team member underscores his commitment to public safety. His hands-on experience, combined with rigorous training, has refined his expertise in security and law enforcement tactics.
Marine Infantryman & Anti-Terrorism Unit Experience:
Prior to his law enforcement career, he served as a United States Marine Infantryman to include several years in a specialized Anti-Terrorism unit. Mike's diverse experiences in combat and non-combat deployments globally have enriched his skills in security and crisis management.
Certified Firearms Instructor:
Mike extends his passion for safety as a certified firearms instructor, teaching hundreds of citizens and law enforcement professionals to responsibly handle firearms.
Specialized Training & Expertise:
Mike brings a wealth of expertise, backed by a diverse range of specialized training and certifications. Some of his notable achievements include:
- Law Enforcement Sniper/Counter-Sniper Course: A testament to his precision and attention to detail.
- Forced Entry Tactical Training (FETT) and Tactical Explosive Breacher Certification: Showcasing proficiency in high-stakes, tactical operations.
- Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings - Train-the-Trainer Certification: Earned at the renowned Energetic Materials Research Center at New Mexico Tech.
- Tactical Combat Casualty Care-Combat Life Saver (TCCC-CLS) Certifications: Demonstrating his capability in critical field trauma medical skills.
- Crisis Negotiations School/Team member: Prior to becoming a member of the SWAT team, he served as a member of the Crisis Negotiations Team.
FAA-Certified UAS Pilot:
Mike holds the distinction of being a Federal Aviation Administration Remote Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Pilot, showcasing his adeptness in integrating advanced technology into security operations.
